Maine Off-Grid Camp

Located at 351 Meadow Road in Corinth, Maine is an off-grid camp in the Maine woods.  Situated on a surveyed lot of 10.5 acres is an 824 +- square foot wood frame seasonal camp.  The structure is in need of repair as roof leaks are evident.  The cabin is open concept with a small kitchen, living room and a loft area that are in reasonable condition.  The first-floor bedroom needs to be removed and rebuilt as the roof leak in that area has led to a complete loss for that room.  The cabin has a privy building that looks to be in serviceable condition.  There is a propane range for cooking, a small refrigerator, a small on demand hot water heater and a 24-volt solar system providing power for the cabin.  A shallow dug well provides water.

The lot is quite nice with mature stands of mixed wood.  There are merchantable sized trees throughout the 10.5 acres that could be cut.  The property has over 1000 feet of frontage on Bear Brook that once you get down to the water is quite scenic with wide pools of placid water with evidence of beaver, otter and other animals navigating the shoreland.  The clearing where the cabin sits is in need of reclaiming as tall grass and young saplings have overtaken most of the cleared areas.  With some sweat equity to clear it again, a very nice open area cold be created.  There is also a small spring fed pond that could be used for watering a vegetable garden, located within the over grown clearing.

Located in the town of Corinth you are just a few minutes away from groceries and other supplies that can be obtained nearby.  Within 35 minutes you can be in Bangor, Maine where world class healthcare, fine dining, entertainment and higher education opportunities all can be found.  Bangor International Airport connects this part of the world to points beyond our borders.

The property is located at the very end of a 1 ½ mile long private gravel road.  The large private lot could be a very nice off-grid home site.  The current structure could be salvaged, but may be better served if it were removed and a better structure built in that location.  Bring your vision, and energy to 351 Meadow Road and create a home at the end of the road along the meandering waters of Bear Brook.
